Indeed, it’s been a mix of good and bad adaptations when it comes to tinsel town… Merely none can forget the most spellbinding adaptations of Mario Puzo’s ‘God Father’ and ‘Shawshank Redemptions’. On the pars, it was really a pathetic scenario with Chetan Bhagat’s ‘One Night At Call Centre’ made on screens as ‘Hello’. So, how about Writer Sujatha’s ‘Pirivoam Sandipoam’ transcended as ‘Ananda Thandavam Review’?Right, the results are there on the title… A beautiful film that will get everyone of you related in one way or the other with these characterizations. A reality persists throughout the frame from alpha till omega. A
But not a perfect adaption you could say, somehow it’s good for your senses.
The film opens with Ragupathi (Siddarth), an engineering graduate who’s so frustrated with his unemployment problems. But all his consolation comes through his dad who shares good rapport with his son. Amidst of this, he falls in love with Madhumitha (Ananda Thandavam Review) – a girl who’s far-famed for her innocence and good heartedness. But, things are swept off from the dreams of these young sweethearts once Radhakrishnan (Rishi) arrives from USA. He mesmerizes the entire family of Madhumitha and gets her married. With no options left, the girl has to obey her parents and flee to America after the marriage. After a serious suicide attempt, Siddarth revives with his father’s love and goes to United States for higher studies. Over there, he meets a stunning girl Rathna (Rukmani). She’s a girl who has been staying in America over for a very long time and yet has been bounded with a life of Eastern Culture. Mutual attractions and admirations for each other urge them to marry at a famous Hindu temple in Pittsburgh.
